Hifz : Deep Memorization of the Quran

The students are taught to memorize the Qur’an and special attention is paid to learning the rules of tajweed. The level is such that after the completion of Qur’an memorization, the child will be able to finish the entire Qur’an in one sitting.

The students who take this course, do home schooling also. Enabling them to memorize complete Qur’an without losing out on academic studies.

Program Information

• The school is a full time program (6-7 hrs per day), dedicated to helping students master the memorization and recitation of the Quran.
• This year FT-Hifz Program is excited to include Arabic class to the curriculum. The program will benefit the hifz students learn and understand Quran vocabulary.
• Home-schooling and the study of non-Quranic subjects should be arranged separately by parents. Al-Shabbir does not have any supportive staff for Home-schooling.
• There will be separate classes for boys and girls.

The final expectations are:

• Students should complete memorization of the whole Quran in 3 years with proper Tajweed and Pronunciation.
• Students must show they can detect the rules of Ikfah, Idgham, Ith-har, Iqlab, and Qalqalah in the Quran.

Selection Criteria

• The Full Hifz program is catered towards children between the ages of 10 to 16 years
• The student must to be fluent in reading, reciting with correct Tajweed, and MUST have the willingness and passion to memorize the Quran.
• Preference will be given to students who already have some Hifz background.
• Parent/Student screening will be conducted prior to interim admission. Final admission will be granted after an evaluation period of up to one month.
• Please note seats are limited and there is a limit of 12 students per Huffaz.
• The submission of this application does not automatically enrolls the student in the program.
